Hi there, I’m Charley
Hi, I’m Charley, a tutor with a passion for helping both children and adults grow in confidence with their learning.
After spending years working in early years education and customer service, I’ve returned to what I love most: supporting others in a way that’s personal, flexible, and truly rewarding. I live with chronic pain, so finding a way to work from home while still making a difference has been a real game-changer for me. Tutoring allows me to do just that.
My sessions are calm, friendly, and tailored to each learner; whether we’re working on early phonics, primary maths, or helping adults build their confidence in reading, writing or number skills.
I believe learning should be joyful, encouraging, and full of curiosity (and sometimes a silly rhyme or two!).
I’m also a bit of a big kid at heart; I have to press every toy I find, I love exploring new things, and yes, I get genuinely excited over a fresh notebook and a good black ink pen.
When I’m not tutoring, you’ll find me in the garden with a coffee, listening to music, or spending time with my husband and our two lovely dogs.

If you’re looking for a tutor who brings patience, creativity, and a good dose of fun into learning, I’d love to hear from you!
